Description
Who we are:
Burwash Equine Services is locally owned and operated, and has been for almost fifty years. We are committed to offering exceptional care, doing what is best for both our clients and our patients, and to making the veterinary profession the best it can be. We take pride in our 24/7 emergency availability, referral and surgical services, sports medicine, reproductive services and wellness appointments. More than anything, we care about quality medicine, collaboration, and about being partners in equine health and performance.
Why work with us:
You will be part of a team of veterinarians and veterinary professionals that see the value in, and prioritize, supporting one another in a challenging, but fulfilling, industry. We care deeply about who we hire and how they contribute to a culture and a team that we are proud to be part of.
Working with our team, you will be able to manage a diverse set of cases from sports medicine cases to annual health appointments to emergency referrals. You’ll have the opportunity to establish meaningful client relationships that are built upon shared understanding of their horse and their goals. You’ll increase your veterinary leadership skills by mentoring our intern veterinarians, veterinary students, tech students, and by supporting our veterinary staff in their career development.
Our veterinarians only work 4 days per week and share all on-call responsibilities. We prioritize effective case transfer and collaboration to ensure that each of our veterinarians gets the opportunity to step away from the clinic to truly recharge on their days off. You’ll have access to a complete benefits package including, but not limited to: Extended Health and Dental Benefits, Annual CE allowance, Annual paid vacation, a company vehicle for ambulatory services, and commissions for emergency appointments.
Not from around here? Our clinic is located five minutes from Cochrane, 20 minutes from Calgary, and less than 1 hour away from Banff National Park. Regardless of what you’re looking for- hiking, skiing, fine dining experiences, or time to relax, our community and surrounding areas are filled with opportunities that support a fulfilling lifestyle.
