Alpine Animal Hospital, PC is owned by Dr Carlton Van Horn (practicing for 40 years) and Dr Amanda Gambill (practicing for 15 years), both originally from Cherokee County, NC. The practice and partnership, established in August of 2025 is the result of a merger between their previous two practices. The merger has allowed for the practice to have more collaboration, more availability and more providers under one roof! It's a really exciting time at Alpine Animal Hospital; at this point, we've worked through most of the growing pains of merging two established practices and are excited to see what the future holds- so, come grow with us! Both practice owners are present and involved in management decisions. And this is still a locally owned, family owned, and doctor owned practice in Western NC.
