About Us
Equine Veterinary Care (EVC) is a progressive, four-doctor equine practice based at the world-class Fair Hill Training Center in Elkton, Maryland, with services extending to Delaware Park Racetrack. Since 1993, we’ve provided high-quality ambulatory and outpatient care to performance and pleasure horses across MD, PA, and DE. Our team specializes in sports medicine, soundness evaluations, imaging, pre-purchase exams, respiratory care, and elective outpatient procedures, collaborating closely with top referral hospitals throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
The Opportunity
We are seeking two full-time Equine Veterinarians to join our growing team—one with a primary focus on racetrack medicine at Delaware Park, and another with an ambulatory focus on sport horse and farm care. Both positions offer the chance to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment where professional development and clinical excellence are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care for equine athletes both at the Delaware Park Racetrack and through ambulatory and clinic-based services at Fair Hill.
- Perform lameness evaluations, imaging, joint injections, regenerative therapies, wellness care, dentistry, and emergency services.
- Build trusted relationships with trainers, owners, and farm managers through clear communication and reliable follow-up.
- Collaborate with colleagues and referral hospitals on complex or specialized cases.
- Participate in a shared, rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
- Stay current on advancements in equine sports medicine and pursue continuing education opportunities.
Ideal Candidates
- DVM/VMD or equivalent, eligible for licensure in DE, MD, and PA
- Strong hands-on equine experience; racetrack or sports medicine background preferred
- Internship-trained or equivalent experience valued
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about equine health and eager to build a rewarding, long-term career
