The state of Maryland has committed over 450 million dollars to rebuild Pimlico and an additional 110 million dollars for the new training center. Great opportunity for a veterinarian that enjoys working on top level TB athletes. You will be immersed in all aspects of equine medicine and surgery. Working at the tracks is the best exposure to equine sports medicine as you get to see and do it all. The associate veterinarian will have at their disposal everything they need to practice: Digital radiographs; ultrasounds; video endoscopes; a dynamic endoscope; thermography unit and a lameness locator. Everything is supplied to you, including a stocked vehicle, all equipment and pharmaceuticals, phone, etc.

The Maryland Veterinary Group LLC is a multiple doctor, primarily TB racetrack practice that serves clients in Maryland at Laurel Park and Pimlico Racecourse, in Delaware at Delaware Park, and at Colonial Downs in Virginia. In addition we treat steeplechase and timber horses as well as other sport horses. All of the veterinarians come from deep and extensive equine backgrounds. The practice has been and continues to be a leader in the MidAtlantic area and on the national scene.
