Burleson Equine Hospital, located south of Fort Worth, Texas, is a 2 doctor private practice specializing in Sports Medicine and Lameness, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Reproduction, Dentistry, and Preventative Medicine.  We have been established since 1960, with a large clientele that range from western performance horses to sport horses, to rodeo and playday horses, along with backyard horses.  We are currently hiring for an additional equine veterinarian associate with advanced knowledge as our practice has grown substantially within the past several years with referrals and medicine cases.

We provide a mentoring team atmosphere with a focus on ethics and treating each patient with compassion.  Our clients are like family and we work hard to build a strong personal client patient relationship. 

 At BEH we understand the importance of family and work life balance, so schedules are based on a 4-day work week, one day off during the week, one night a week on call, one weekend a month on call, and 4 weeks of paid vacation. All dues, memberships, PLIT/GHLIT, and continuing education are paid. Production based compensation with guaranteed base and additional summer and winter bonuses paid.  Signing bonus and relocation costs are also paid.

We offer a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options to our clients that include IRAP2, PRP, Pro-stride, Shockwave, 1M and 3M Olympus video endoscopes, Sonosite Edge 2 ultrasound, Sonosite M-turbo ultrasound, EVO ultrasound, full in house diagnostic Idexx lab, 2 fully stocked new Ford F250 diesel trucks for ambulatory calls, ICU, standing surgery, full surgical suite with anesthesia machine, blood gas, Cardell monitoring system, 2 padded recovery rooms, and 2 large indoor treatment areas, lameness pad and outdoor exam area.

Our support staff includes licensed technicians with many years of equine only experience, 24/7 staffing for overnight and critical care cases, along with a wonderful office staff and dedicated practice manager.

We have a state of the art surgical suite with all orthopedic and soft tissue instrumentation, advanced internal medicine diagnostics and ultrasound equipment, Hospital with ICU and Isolation, trained technicians, and fully stocked Bowie trucks available for farm calls. We offer a production based $100,000 guarantee, working a 4 day work week, one night on call/week and one weekend/month on call, with 4 weeks of paid vacation and retirement, along with all dues/licensing, signing bonus, and relocation costs paid.
