Waller Equine Hospital was established in 2001 as a referral hospital for the surgical and medical treatment of horses. We have since grown into a full-service primary care and referral hospital. We offer a wide variety of services in surgery, medicine, reproduction, emergency, preventative care, and general health. We are seeking an associate veterinarian to join our team. The caseload for the position is 60% ambulatory and 40% in-house. The ideal candidate would have an interest in reproduction and internal medicine. We have 2 board-certified surgeons, two associate veterinarians, and two interns.

Waller Equine is situated on nine acres of beautiful pastureland and has a 20-stall barn, isolation stall, surgical suite, two recovery stalls, two exam areas, a breeding area, fifteen paddocks, and a brand new covered lameness area. We have two digital x-ray units, an RLT Laser, PulseVet Shockwave, four ultrasound machines, endoscopy/gastroscopy, positive pressure ventilation, blood gas analysis, and several multi-parameter monitors. We have an in-house reference lab with top-of-the-line diagnostic equipment including a Fluxergy PCR system running EIA testing daily.

Our compensation package includes a Competitive Base Salary with monthly production and no negative accrual, along with sign-on and relocation bonuses. About Waller Equine Hospital

Waller Equine Hospital was founded as a referral surgical center in 2001. We grew very quickly into a full service hospital and referral center, and provide primary care as well. We are located in Waller, TX northwest of Houston. We have small town living with the convenience of the big city within 30 minutes. The practice employs 25 staff members including, two equine surgeons, three general practitioners, five LVT’s, four board eligible LVT's, 11 other support staff members both part time and front office staff. The equine facilities include a large surgery suite, 2 recovery stalls, 20 stall barn, equine isolation unit, 12 paddocks, and 2 pastures. Our barn is staffed with a 24 hour support staff technician team, who monitors and cares for hospitalized patients alerting the doctors when needed. Our hospital offers an opportunity with diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography both in hospital and in the field, video endoscopy, gastroscopy, abaxis chemistry and cell count machines, ultrasonography, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, large surgical suite with gas anesthesia and positive pressure ventilation as well as electrocardiogram, blood gas analysis, direct blood pressure monitoring, pulse ox, and end tidal co2.
