Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in equine and/or large animal practice through a minimum (2) years of relevant practice experience and/or completion of a related internship or residency program. Practice management skills such as a working knowledge of the operations of ambulatory service and ability to effectively manage support staff are preferred. Responsibility for providing after-hours emergency coverage will be shared across members of the service. While equine-specific and livestock-specific candidates will receive consideration, ideal candidates possess experience treating both equine and large animal (primarily small ruminant, camelid, bovine, and pet pig) species.
