Dunbarton Equine is seeking an intern with the potential for mentorship to an associate's position. New graduates, as well as recent graduates will all be considered. Dunbarton Equine is a 4 doctor, 100% equine ambulatory practice located in Newtown, Connecticut serving sport and pleasure horses in western Connecticut, Westchester County, New York and Long Island. Our practice consists primarily of hunters, jumpers, dressage & western pleasure of all levels. The successful candidate will work alongside each of the doctors to become proficient in all areas of preventative care, sports medicine, purchase exams, dentistry, gastroscopy, intra-articular & ultrasound guided injections, as well as diagnostic radiology and ultrasound. Dunbarton Equine has a full complement of the latest digital radiography, endoscopy & ultrasound equipment. We utilize most regenerative therapies including PRP, IRAP, ProStride, stem cells & A2M, as well as ARTHRAMID & shock wave therapy. Dunbarton Equine also offers a full range of alternative care including acupuncture, chiropractic and kineseotaping. Our practice owner is a 3* FEI Veterinary Delegate & 2 of our associates are FEI PTVs, if you have an interest in learning more about international competition. Dunbarton Equine works closely with a referral center in our area and has quick access to MRI, scintigraphy and both emergency and elective surgery. We also consult with 3 boarded internal medicine specialists in our area when needed for difficult medicine cases. At Dunbarton Equine we believe in a good quality of life and adequate free time. As such, we will only require our intern to be on call one night per week and every other weekend. Our program will entail close mentorship, as well as journal club and case discussions.

DVM from an accredited university, successful completion of the NAVLE or CCT/NBE, 2 letters of recommendation.
