Central Georgia Equine Services is a boutique practice in middle Georgia offering a comprehensive selection in services in both the ambulatory and hospital settings. We do not do any colic or orthopedic surgery but maintain an outstanding relationship with multiple referral hospitals for the surgical care of cases that are in need of those services. We do offer an extensive portfolio of imaging, reproduction, lameness and medical services. Applicants can gain more information about the practice on our website at www.equineservices.com.
Interns will be exposed to a very large variety of cases from backyard pets to elite athletes. We have great support staff in the clinic and we enjoy practicing as a group. Out team approach leads to greater professional enjoyment and a higher level of patient care. Our veterinarians are accompanied by a veterinary assistant at all times. Our emphasis is on quality of care, not quantity. We take pride in getting new graduates ready for the next step in their careers.
The internship is a one year salaried position typically reserved for recent graduates of veterinary school. In order to apply for the internship, a two week externship is required prior to application. A letter of intent, resume and three letters of recommendation are required for application for the internship. Completion is the NAVLE is required.
