Blue Ridge Equine Clinic is offering a one-year rotating Internship that will begin in the summer of 2023.
Blue Ridge Equine Clinic is a full-service referral and ambulatory clinic located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Charlottesville VA. Charlottesville is a very active equestrian area, as well as the home of the University of Virginia and is showcased by many first-rate restaurants, galleries, wineries, shops, and parks dispersed throughout the area.
We currently employ 8 doctors, 2 LVTs, 4 technician assistants and 4 office staff. Our caseload consists of primarily of English performance horse and pleasure horses covering a wide range of disciplines. We are a team-oriented practice with a strong emphasis on client communication and service and have a supportive culture that values teaching and learning from each other. We offer monthly journal club and CE exchange rounds to share as much information from within the practice, and across the veterinary community, as possible.
The successful candidates will rotate equally between the hospital and field services. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain confidence in all aspects of equine practice. Previous interns have gone on to open their own practice, join other referral or general practices, or opt to further their training with residency programs. Whatever your goals are we can help you reach them.
Candidate must be able to obtain Veterinary Licensure in Virginia.
