Your next career opportunity Join the University of Melbourne's Equine Centre as a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Equine Surgery. In this pivotal role, you'll assume shared responsibility for the day-to-day assessment and management of equine surgical patients, both in the hospital and through ambulatory services. You'll work closely with the equine team to ensure high-quality patient and client services while contributing to the growth of the clinical caseload. Additionally, you'll play a key role in the education of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students, delivering lectures, practicals, and clinical rotations, and supervising student research projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Services: Assess and manage equine surgical in-patients and out-patients, including emergency admissions and after-hours care.
Teaching and Learning: Contribute to the clinical and pre-clinical education of DVM students through lectures, practicals, student assessments, and curriculum development.
Leadership and Service: Provide leadership in equine surgery, fostering excellence in clinical service and education, and engaging with professional activities and outreach.
Research and Scholarship: Engage in research and scholarly activities related to equine surgery and veterinary education.
Strategic Development: Contribute to the strategic development of clinical, teaching, and research outcomes at the Equine Centre.

Hold a veterinary degree registrable in Victoria and postgraduate training or specialist qualifications in Equine Surgery.
