The Bitterroot Valley runs north to south in Western Montana. With mountains on both sides, it certainly is a beautiful area. Missoula is the closest city. It has a population of about 70,000 and is home to the University of Montana.
Tammany Veterinary Hospital opened in 2002 and moved to a newly built hospital in 2016. We are a primary care, large animal, four-doctor hospital. The majority of the caseload is equine (~90%) with the remainder consisting of small cattle operations and small ruminates. Our clientele is a mixture of performance, trail riding, and backyard horse owners.

The work schedule consists of four scheduled weekdays. Our doctors share on-call after hours, weekends and holidays. We are on call for horse shows, rodeos, and other livestock events. Pay for this position is competitive and dependent on experience.

Tammany Veterinary Hospital is an all service facility treating the whole animal. We have ultrasound, digital radiology, endoscopy, an in-house lab, and spacious treatment rooms as well as a barn and outside stalls, all located in new hospital built in 2016.
