Regulatory Equine Veterinarian
The Virginia Racing Commission seeks an equine veterinarian for the 2024 race meeting at Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent, Virginia. No experience is required, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. The primary responsibility includes sample collection for drug testing with administrative duties regarding the laboratory submissions. Other duties may include, monitoring morning training, Veterinarian's List removal of horses, and soundness examinations of horses.  The work week consists of approximately 40 hours, with four to five days of work per week. No after-hour emergency call. Employment will start July 1st and continue through September 8th. Housing allowance
