Our practice is an Ocala, Florida primary care practice with an emphasis on sports medicine. We are currently a two-doctor practice but with continued growth to the area, and an increased number of competitions, we are looking to add to our team! Both of our doctors grew up riding and are passionate about caring for our equine patients. We have a primarily hunter/jumper clientele, but we do have dressage, western, cross-country, and backyard clients as well. Our goal for the practice is to provide a collaborative environment so that as a team we can provide well rounded care for our patients, and the owners who care for them. Flexibility in the practice is important for us so that our team has time to pursue their passions outside of veterinary medicine.
We have many diagnostic and treatment tools. We currently have an x-ray and ultrasound for each truck and would plan to outfit your truck with those as well. We have a shockwave, class IV laser, dental equipment, gastroscope, endoscopes, and regenerative medicine centrifuges that are shared between each vehicle. We do a lot of regenerative medicine within the practice, and the centrifuges are compatible with pro-stride, PRP, bone marrow, and alpha 2. We have brought in dentistry and acupuncture, and if you have areas of interest or services that we do not currently provide we would be happy to help support you in incorporating those interests into the practice. We both enjoy mentoring and would be excited to help a young practitioner grow within this practice!
Benefits include competitive pro-sal compensation, sign-on bonus, health insurance, retirement, CE stipend, and licenses and association dues are fully paid. Ambulatory vehicle including appropriate stock and diagnostic equipment provided. Technician support for each veterinarian is also provided.
This is an area of continued equine growth where you would have the opportunity to build strong and long-lasting client and patient relationships, practice high quality medicine, and work with a team that will support you as a practitioner as well as a person. If you’re looking to practice in beautiful Florida horse country at a flexible and forward-thinking practice, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (904) 267-1296.
Your role at this practice would include, but would not be limited to, providing general veterinary and sports medicine services in the field. On call services are shared equally with the veterinarians in the practice. It would include performing lameness and prepurchase exams, performing and interpreting digital radiology and ultrasonographic findings, and creating therapeutic plans. It would also include general medicine evaluations including but not limited to gastrointestinal, neurologic, respiratory, ophthalmic, and dermatologic evaluations.
