Burleson Equine Hospital, located south of Fort Worth, Texas, is a 3-doctor referral practice specializing in sports medicine and lameness, surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine, reproduction, dentistry, and preventative medicine. We have been established since 1960, with a large clientele that range from Western Performance Horses to Sport Horses, to Professional Rodeo and playday horses, along with family owned backyard horses. We are currently hiring for an additional Associate Equine Veterinarian as our practice has grown substantially within the past several years. We provide a mentoring team atmosphere for younger veterinarians with a focus on ethics and treating each patient individually with compassion. Our clients are like family and we work hard to build a strong personal client patient relationship, with communication and good medicine being a top priority.
At BEH we understand the importance of family and work life balance, so schedules are based on a 4-day work week, one day off during the week, one night a week on call, one weekend a month on call, and 4 weeks of paid vacation. All dues, memberships, PLIT/GHLIT, and continuing education are paid. Production based compensation with guaranteed base and additional bonuses paid at summer and Christmas. There is also a signing bonus, 3 months paid rent, and moving expenses paid upon signing.
We offer a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options to our clients that include IRAP2, PRP, Pro-stride, Pulse-Vet Shockwave, 1M and 3M Olympus video endoscopes, Sonosite Edge 2 ultrasound with 5 probes, Sonosite M-turbo ultrasound, EVOIII ultrasound with all probes, full in house diagnostic Idexx lab, SAA/LActate, EIA Lab, and 2 fully stocked new Ford F250 diesel trucks for ambulatory calls, ICU, standing surgery with stocks, full surgical suite with Shanks table and anesthesia machine, Stryker Arthroscopy unit, all orthopedic and soft tissue surgical instruments and equipment, blood gas, Cardell monitoring system, 2 padded recovery rooms, and 2 large indoor treatment areas, and lameness pad.
