We are a seven-doctor progressive mixed animal practice in search of a confident and energetic mixed animal associate veterinarian. We are a privately owned business with four equal owners. Our current veterinarians graduated fairly evenly from 1988 to 2021. There are 4 mixed animal veterinarians and 3 small animal veterinarians. Our companion animal practice sees a wide variety of animals from the usual dog and cat to the occasional pet mini pig and rabbit. Our large animal practice has a balance of 45% equine, 35% bovine and the remaining a variety of goats, camelids, deer, sheep, pigs, and poultry. As a practice we value high quality medicine, work-life balance, mentorship, and a collaborative work environment, while encouraging you to develop and grow your area of interest. Our hours of operation are M-F 7:30 am - 5:00 pm and Sat 7:30 am -1 pm. We do offer emergency services to our established clients.

We are located in beautiful rural Northeast Ohio minutes from the Pennsylvania border. The area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with a lot of places for hiking, biking, kayaking, and horseback riding. We are within easy driving distance to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Canton/Akron, and Columbus for the perfect night out.

Veterinarian duties will include seeing both large and small animal appointments on respective days. Emergency services are split evenly between the mixed animal veterinarians with small animal back-up about half the time. Our clinic includes several full-time small animal registered veterinary technicians and a strong team of additional support staff. The clinic is well equipped with digital radiography (in clinic and portable), endoscopy, ultrasound (tendon and reproductive), power floats, in-house Idexx machines, cloud-based practice software (ezyvet NZ), and so much more.

About Lisbon Veterinary Clinic

Lisbon Veterinary Clinic in Lisbon, Ohio was founded in 1984 as a mixed animal practice. Since that time the clinic has grown by leaps and bounds. The practice currently employs eight veterinarians, four registered veterinary technicians and more than fifteen support staff members. The small animal portion of the practice offers complete wellness care, dentistry, digital radiography, surgery and hospitalized patient care. Our pharmacy stocks most needed medications and we carry several varieties of prescription diets for both cats and dogs. We have two to three veterinarians working in the clinic daily and a caring and knowledgeable staff to meet your needs. For regular, established clients, limited after-hours emergency services are available. The large animal portion of the practice covers both Columbiana and Mahoning counties as well as portions of northern Carroll County. Our veterinarians work on all types of farm animals including dairy and beef cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, waterfowl, llamas and alpacas. We even have a veterinarian who treats honey bees. We offer herd health programs, wellness care, vaccinations, field surgery, reproductive and tendon ...ultrasound, equine dentistry including a power float, upper airway endoscopy, and mobile digital radiography. We operate five mobile units with up to four veterinarians on the road daily and offer 24/7 emergency services for our regular, established clients.
