Looking for a country lifestyle in a beautiful area with a low cost of living, but the conveniences of a major metropolis only 90 minutes away? Come join the team at Hohenwald Animal Hospital!
We are looking for a full-time Veterinarian to see primarily small animal patients, however DVMs with an interest in seeing small mammals, horses, and livestock (cattle, goats, etc) are welcome and encouraged! Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of practice experience, however motivated new or recent graduates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Hohenwald, Tennessee is approximately 90 minutes southwest of Nashville, and is home to The Elephant Sanctuary - the largest natural-habitat sanctuary for elephants in the United States. The town is rich in history, including the gravesite of Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis & Clark expedition, and celebrates its German heritage each year with a huge annual Oktoberfest. It is also an environmentally conscious community, as one of the only Mid-American towns to meet the Transition Town critera which focuses on improving and encouraging self-sufficiency within communities.
