Our compensation package includes your salary, as well as benefits. Emergency fees are paid monthly and annually accumulate ~ $5-12K. Comprehensive benefit package starting in year one totals over $15,000 and includes: Health care shared coverage (Single coverage) and Dental plan or monthly allowance; Professional Liability insurance up to $3000; Disability insurance contribution; Continuing education and training expense allowance; 8 days PTO for vacation and sick leave; 4 days PTO for continuing education; Professional organization dues for AAEP, AVMA, and AZVMA; State veterinary License; Eligibility to enroll in the practice sponsored retirement plan; Profit Sharing/Bonuses will be issued based on productivity, employment, profitability, team-work, and work ethic; Practice logo wear.

Seeking motivated, positive, career-minded, and committed practitioner for an ambulatory position in a 100% Equine Veterinary practice.  The position provides abundant experience with high quality performance and pleasure horses, breeding work and general practice.  Experienced practioners as well as recent graduates interested in joining a top-quality practice located in the beautiful Sonoran Desert are encouraged to apply.  Client-oriented, compassionate, and ethical patient care are our goals while keeping the welfare of the horse at the pinnacle of our focus. We are a tight knit team that enjoy collaboration and always aim to support one another. Knowledge and experience in equine medicine, sports medicine, reproduction, and diagnostic imaging is preferred however our team approach to cases will actively provide support and training. Extensive horse experience and knowledge is required and expected. Our practice is a progressive professional environment that is family focused with a support staff of 1.5 assistants per veterinarian.  We also strive for an excellent work/life balance, starting with our 4-day work week with a typical day rarely extending beyond 5pm.  On-call is shared equally between the doctors within our practice and of our co-op, providing service to established clients.

About Phoenix Equine Veterinary

We are an ambulatory practice with an out-patient facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to Scottsdale, we serve Rio Verde, Cave Creek, and Desert Hills areas, a twenty-minute radius from our office. Our practice provides digital radiography and ultrasonography services, as well on-site laboratory capabilities. In addition to multiple biologic systems, we incorporate extra-corporeal shockwave, Phovia cell regenerative, and chiropractic therapies routinely into our treatment regimens. Each vehicle is stocked with dental equipment, ultrasound, SAA & Insulin readers, cellular capable computers, and stocked for the day at hand. Our facility can house and triage patients, however we work closely with multiple local surgical hospitals to provide advanced imaging modalities such as MRI and nuclear scintigraphy as well as emergency surgery with 24-hour care to ensure comprehensive care for our patients. We are in one of the gateways to the Southwest, offering access to several sustainable desert habitats with abundant outdoor and equestrian activities. Flagstaff, Sedona, Peurto Penasco, and the Grand Canyon are just a few of the amazing destinations accessible for a day and/or weekend trip. "It's a dry heat!"
