Large Animal Medical Associates is a 3 doctor ambulatory practice servicing equine, small ruminant, and camelid patients in beautiful central Vermont. We are looking for an emergency hours veterinarian. This position would be for the hours of 5pm-8am weekdays (2-3 days/week) and every other or every 3^rd weekend. Most often, the on-call veterinarian receives 0-2 emergency calls per shift. Emergencies are a mix of haul-in (mostly small ruminants) and ambulatory.

This is a salaried position with benefits. A fully stocked truck and all necessary equipment is provided. We have digital radiograph machines, digital ultrasound, portable endoscopy, and a in-house chemistry machine. Should a new graduate be interested, we will provide mentorship until they are comfortable to see calls on their own.

Large Animal Medical Associates is a primarily equine ambulatory practice located in northeastern Vermont. We provide primary and emergency medical and routine surgical care to horses and small ruminants in our practice area. Currently, we are three doctors with 3.5 full time staff and we have a great team. The majority of our cases are seen on the farm, but we also have a facility to treat medical cases on site. We try to balance work and life for everyone's well-being, and we are fortunate to have an appreciative and friendly clientele. We are a non-corporate privately owned practice.
