Carolina Equine Hospital is seeking an associate veterinarian to join our growing team. We are looking to add a team-oriented veterinarian who provides innovative, comprehensive veterinary care, exceptional service, and education to large animal owners in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina.

Our 8000 sq foot hospital is in Browns Summit, just minutes from Greensboro, NC.  Our facility features both in-patient and outpatient stalls, 2 large climate-controlled treatment rooms, full surgical suite, well stocked pharmacy and laboratory. Our practice is currently 70% ambulatory and 30 % hospital centered.  Our hospitalized caseload consists of medical colic management, injury care, high risk reproduction management, and ophthalmology.  We encourage the use of our facility for outpatient care in order to provide the most comprehensive and highest quality care options for our clients and patients.

Our caseload includes performance and pleasure horses of all breeds and disciplines. The workload includes preventative and emergency care, sports medicine, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, reproduction and a small amount of non-equine large animal (~5%).   We utilize digital medical records, mobile x-ray and ultrasound, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, regenerative medicine, lameness locators and power dentistry.  The hospital can provide on-site diagnostics such as hematology, biochemistry, digital fecal egg count analysis, etc. 

Our team is comprised of five full- time veterinarians including 1 board certified ACVIM and 1 CVMMP. We have a diverse variety of support staff members including both ambulatory and hospital veterinary assistants, practice management and facility care personnel.  We rely heavily on each member of the team to collaborate, communicate, and work cohesively in order to deliver the best outcomes possible for our patients, team, and community. We believe in quality of work, but also promote a productive life outside of work.  Our doctors work a 4-day week with on-call duty reasonably distributed (approximately 1 night/week, 1 weekend/month). Our schedules are flexible to accommodate family needs and personal interests.

The area offers a great deal of opportunity to explore life outside of work including sporting events, pet and equestrian friendly parks and venues, art galleries, historic landmarks, hiking, and vineyards. With our central location in the state the beach and the mountains are easily drivable.
