Montana Equine is seeking an experienced equine veterinarian to join our growing team in Helena, MT.
Our group was initially formed in 2005, and is comprised of equine-only veterinarians with Montana locations in near Bozeman, Billings, Helena, and Livingston, and an affiliated location near Ketchum Idaho. All of our staff veterinarians have completed equine internships or additional post-graduate training, and includes multiple board-certified specialists in equine medicine and equine surgery.
Our surgical center outside Bozeman was built in 2007, in the stunning Gallatin Valley. A second clinic was established in Billings in 2018. We are fully-equipped with digital radiology, ultrasonography, endoscopy and other advanced equipment available across all 3 locations. Our hospitals serve as referral centers for veterinarians across a three-state area. We have an active externship program, and attract interns from across the western US and beyond.
Our practice in Helena, MT is currently ambulatory only, and has a strong emphasis on wellness and emergency care, field dentistry, and sports medicine with seasonal reproduction work as well. The main clinic with experts in surgery and internal medicine for case discussion within the team and referral when needed is only a short 1.5 hour drive away. Our caseload includes a wide variety of Western and English performance athletes, as well as ranch and pleasure horses.
The ideal candidate should have a team-oriented attitude and the drive to provide outstanding service to the practice's clients and their horses. We value strong communication skills to continue fostering relationships within our communities. Our practice emphasizes work-life balance, allowing for time to enjoy all that Montana has to offer.
Typical compensation packages for our team are dependent on experience with quarterly production (no negative accrual) plus emergency fees, and a dynamic benefits package including medical, professional liability, retirement, CE and membership budget, and student loan support. We typically schedule a 4-day work week with on call divided between the doctors at each location.
The towns and small cities in the northern Rockies are among the fastest-growing in all of the U.S., yet access to natural surroundings are unsurpassed anywhere in North America. Please contact us to discuss the unique opportunities that are available to members of our team.
