Join us in beautiful Upstate NY on the VT boarder and experience everything the Northeast has to offer. Looking to settle down and raise a family, or improve your skills and settle into veterinary medicine, either or both are at your fingertips. Better yet, tell us what your looking for in a practice and we will see if we can accommodate. At GVS we understand that each veterinarian is looking for something different from a practice and their career and we would love to hear what your looking for and how we can help you get it. Looking for time to start or enjoy your family, pursue interests outside vet med, explore the great outdoors, or work extra to make extra and pay off your student loans? All of the above? Sounds great to us, your future is one application away.
Granville Veterinary Service Large Animal is an exclusively large animal four doctor practice located just east of the Adirondack Mountains. We've been practicing high quality general large animal medicine in both NY and VT for well over 60 years. Although primarily ambulatory, we do have a haul in facility that allows convenient treatment of smaller patients, as well as non-emergent treatment of some of our larger patients. All trucks are fully stocked with the necessary equipment and supplies, including ultrasound, dental equipment including power floats, digital radiography, endoscopy and much more. Our support staff work hard to keep our doctors efficient and effective and handle all scheduling, lab work/submissions, ordering, and client communications.
Do you have a species preference but are willing to do some work on all large animals? That works for us as many of our doctors have developed general practice specialties throughout the years.
Normal office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm, and emergency coverage is rotated from doctor to doctor outside of that schedule. Schedule can be tailored to veterinarian need, with the option for either a four day work week or a four day weekend off after each on call weekend.
Future buy in option available for the right candidate.
Compensation is negotiable and can be salary plus benefits or base with production percentage depending on candidates preferences, no negative accrual. No hidden agendas, just a mutually beneficial relationship.
Come be a part of a really great practice and an outstanding community.
DVM or equivalent, licensure in NY and VT, valid drivers license and Category II accreditation required.
