Alliance Equine Health Care is searching for a veterinarian to join our currently two-doctor team.    We are an independently owned, equine exclusive, full service ambulatory practice located in Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, in the heart of beautiful Pennsylvania horse country.  We treat horses of all disciplines, although english performance, pleasure riding horses, and well-loved backyard pets predominate our patient base.  We provide primary care, dentistry, sports medicine, podiatry, acupuncture, emergency care, and limited reproductive services.

We have been fostering great relationships with our clients, and striving towards a healthy work-life balance for our team members, since the practice opened in 2006.  This has contributed to our continued love for practicing equine veterinary medicine!

• We are a high touch practice, seeing most of our patients multiple times throughout the year.  We value customer service and collaborate closely within our team to provide great continuity of care among doctors.  
• Our clients are appreciative of the service they receive, and are respectful and understanding of the boundaries we have in place to support a healthy work-life balance for our team.
• Our support staff is terrific; each veterinarian has a veterinary assistant to help with regularly scheduled appointments, and an administrative team is present in the office. 
• Emergency on-call duty for weeknights is shared between all Alliance Equine veterinarians.  Weekend and holiday on-call duty is shared with another local practice, such that each veterinarian is only on call approximately once out of every six weekends or holidays.  Emergency service is only provided for active clients.
• Flexible scheduling is available.  Our current veterinarians work 4-day work weeks.  Additional time off is provided following an on call weekend.  
• A generous PTO allotment is provided.
• Two great equine hospitals are nearby for easy and quick referrals, and collaboration with specialists.

Working tools and Benefit Package:

Our practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, ProStride, in-house bloodwork, in-house Parasight machine, upper airway endoscopy, tonopen, SAA readers, and a lot of dental equipment (power, hand, extraction, and mini dental equipment available)!  Our associate veterinarians are provided with a fully-stocked work vehicle, cell phone, and laptop.  License fees, association dues, and health insurance is paid.  A CE stipend, paid CE time off, and retirement plan contributions are also included in the compensation package.  Initial wage is dependent upon experience and working schedule, with the goal to convert to a base salary plus production compensation once associate is established with the practice.  Emergency fee compensation is paid separately.

Our ideal candidate must:

• possess a DVM, VMD, or equivalent and the ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license
• be team oriented with a positive attitude
• be dedicated to providing excellent patient care and client service

New graduates are welcome to apply.  We are willing and able to provide mentorship until you are comfortable operating independently.  We are also very happy to entertain applications from experienced practitioners!  

About the area:

Glenmoore, Pennsylvania is located in Chester County.  It is a terrific place to be an equine veterinarian and an equine enthusiast, with horse farms around every corner!  Numerous high level equine events occur nearby at the Devon Showgrounds, Radnor Hunt, and Fair Hill.  Horse trails are maintained at numerous area parks and conservation areas, and fox hunting flourishes!  Glenmoore is within a couple hours of major metropolitan areas (Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York City), the beach/ocean, and the mountains!
