Green Glen Equine Hospital  is rapidly growing and we are searching for an experienced veterinarian in sports medicine or with other special interests / training to join our team of 6 veterinarians.  We have many opportunities to create your own niche.  The practice has been established in the area for 55 years offering ambulatory and surgical services.  We are located in south central PA where you can easily find hiking, fishing, wineries, brew pubs and other outdoor activities such as the Appalachian trail or we are within an easy drive to Washington DC, Baltimore or Philadelphia.   

In 2017 we underwent a full renovation of the hospital and we increased our office space.  Our equine patients cover the spectrum of equine interests (hunter/jumper, breeding, TB race, barrel, dressage and so on). 

The hospital has two induction/recovery stalls, surgical suite, exam area, complete in-house lab, shockwave, A2M, PRP, Prostride, IRAP, digital radiography for each doctor, multiple ultrasounds, video gastroscope, two 1.5 meter airway videoscopes and lameness locator.  The property also includes two barns and a lameness arena.

We are searching for a veterinarian who wants to be part of our growing team and practice high quality TEAM medicine for our patients and customers.  We have had great growth in our sports medicine so special interest and training in Sports Medicine is preferred.  Our staff includes a board certified surgeon and one veterinarian certified in chiropractic.  Position will be predominantly ambulatory with outpatient appointment times available and some hospital responsibilities. There will be opportunities to work various shows / competitions. Emergency coverage is shared.  

Our large staff of both technicians and office staff are critical in assisting us in our day to day functions. 

Most of us don't like being on call all the time so being part of a multi-doctor team gives us the ability to share call thus providing ample time for other interests. 

We are here to help mentor and give you the tools to fulfill your specific interest and niche.  Interest in acupuncture and chiropractic is welcome.  We all talk daily about cases and are extremely collaborative.  Our environment is friendly and fun.  Potential for practice ownership is available.

Requirements:  Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine with experience.  A special interest or specialty training in Equine Sports Medicine or equivalent experience or completion of an Equine Surgical or Sports Medicine Residency would be well suited to our team.  Special training in other areas would also be a great fit.  Must be PA & MD license eligible.

We are a 5 vet equine only veterinary practice with both ambulatory and hospital services. Recent renovation and addition to existing hospital. We provide both ambulatory and hospital services to our patients. Established in 1968 we have grown from a solo practitioner to a multi doctor practice. We see a wide variety of disciplines from TB racetrack, dressage, barrel racers, pleasure horses to back yard pets. Our hospital is over 4,000 sq ft and we have two barns. The hospital contains office space, lab, pharmacy, conference room, surgical suite with two induction and recovery areas as well as clinic space. We offer shockwave, IRAP, PRP, videoendoscopy, Prostride, lameness locator and many more services to best treat our patients.
