The team at TNT Equine is seeking an energetic, well rounded associate interested in all aspects of primary care including wellness, reproduction, dentistry, performance horse medicine, lameness, and emergency care. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, client-service oriented, have excellent communication skills, all the while having the ability to relate to owners, trainers and managers across all walks of life and a variety of disciplines.
Our clientele is well-established so we need an enthusiastic candidate that can jump right in. Experienced veterinarians are preferred however, recent grads who have completed a one-year internship that includes an ambulatory component will be considered as well as new grads with a strong equine background and the ability to learn on the go. Ideally the position is full time, year-round however, we can be creative with other mutually beneficial arrangements for the perfect candidate.
TNT Equine is rooted in the local equine community across beautiful coastal Maine with clients encompassing pleasure, performance, eventing, reproduction, trail and family horses. Many of our clients have been established with our practice for multiple generations. Our support staff are outstanding and average over 11 years with the practice, speaking to the culture of our patient first approach. TNT Equine is primarily ambulatory serving a large and diverse population of horses from Southern Maine to the seacoast region of New Hampshire with limited service on the north shore of Massachusetts.
The facility has accommodations for up to 20 patients, in house lab, climate-controlled treatment area, digital radiology, digital ultrasound, upper airway endoscopy, and fully equipped practice vehicles. The practice has garnered a reputation for our reproductive & advanced dentistry services which we provide to both established clients as well as referrals from local area veterinarians. We are looking for an associate to complement our current service offerings while being able to contribute to managing the existing case load of dental cases. We encourage associates to develop their own areas of interest which we will help you build on through both local opportunities and national continuing education meetings.
Maine has four very distinct seasons that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities to keep your mind and body engaged. We are just over an hour from Boston and less than an hour from the beautiful Lakes Region with access to beaches, hiking, skiing and watersports all within a short drive. The area offers great restaurants, music venues, microbreweries, seaside resort towns and quiet get away locations all within a short drive.
