Tired of the daily caseload of vaccinations, but not quite ready for the unknown of critical care cases? Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital , located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is looking to hire Veterinarians for our new Urgent Care service line. Urgent Care focuses on non-critical patients in need of after-hours, weekend or immediate care.
This position will include care and services of non-critical care cases, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, bite wounds, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. Three-days per week and the available shifts will likely be 2pm-11pm Thursday, Friday, and Monday, 10am-11p or 12p-11p on Saturdays and Sundays, with no overnights! Highly trained support staff and registered veterinary technicians will be working alongside our doctors. In addition, consultation with the specialists at NIVES is easy and a quick phone call away.

NIVES serves the pet owners and veterinarians in the tri-state region of NE Indiana, SE Michigan and NW Ohio. The new urgent care facility is located adjacent to our main specialty building, separated by a shared parking lot. Our call center will funnel cases to the appropriate service line, however urgent care cases still have the added advantage of direct transfer to the critical care hospital for overnight care if needed.
