John R. Steele & Associates is looking for new or recent graduates with a keen interest in Equine Sports Medicine to compete a 1 year internship with Dr. Tim Ober, former US Show Jumping Team Veterinarian for 20+ years. Applicants who match this role will have a serious interest in Sports Medicine. This opportunity is about being immersed in the highest level of horse sport in the disciplines of jumping and dressage.
Our practice focus is providing the highest level of care to top equine athletes competing in Show Jumping, Dressage, Eventing, and Show Hunter disciplines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain extensive experience with lameness evaluation, the diagnostic process, therapeutic treatment, and regenerative medicine, as well as purchase examinations.
Candidates must be organized, focused, and committed to learning both independently and during practice. This fast paced position offers endless opportunity to fine tune skills in radiography, ultrasonography, case management and participate in clinical research. The practice is located in Wellington, Florida during the winter months and Gordonsville, Virginia during the summer months with some additional travel.
