Two Full Time Associates needed for a predominant small animal practice 35 miles west of Springfield, Illinois.

Cass Veterinary Services comprises two clinics in Virginia and Jacksonville, Illinois,  The two practices are located 15 miles apart. The historic capital city of Springfield, Illinois lies just 35 miles to the east of the clinics.  Ninety percent of the practice is small animals. The large animal portion of our practice consists of beef, equine and small ruminants.

Our practice mission is to provide a quality spectrum of care at a reasonable price while providing a rewarding and friendly work place environment.   We have great growth opportunities in not only the small animal portion, but also the large animal segments in this geographic area.   We have cattle haul in facilities with a hydraulic chute and equine stocks at our Virginia location.  Our team of 3 veterinarians, 6 techs, 4 CSR's and an additional 11 full and part time support staff work together to manage a thriving practice that produces solid profits.

Our community has excellent internet connectivity.  Fiber internet service is available not only in towns of the area but also in the rural areas.  Cass Communications Telephone and Internet Company is a locally owned company that provides some of the best internet service in the state.

Hunting and fishing opportunities abound in our area.  Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area is a large state park just five miles east of Virginia.  They have a large lake and multiple small ponds for fishing.  Many hunters come to this area for some of the best deer and duck hunting opportunities in the nation.  The Sanganois State Fish and Wildlife Area is located just a few miles north of Virginia.  It is a waterfowl management area providing hunting opportunities.

Salary range for an experienced veterinarian is 175-250K  Additional benefits include: flexible schedule, retirement program, health care, continuing education, professional organizations, and a signing bonus.
