Additional Information:
Central Kentucky mixed animal clinic seeking full time small animal exclusive or mixed animal practitioners to join our busy practice. Established in 1959, we have been serving Danville, Harrodsburg, and the surrounding communities for over 60 years.
The large animal portion of our practice consists of bovine, equine, and the occasional small ruminant. We have a very well equipped bovine haul-in facility with two hydraulic chutes, one of which tilts for lameness work. We also have an equine stocks to facilitate palpations, standing surgeries, or dental exams. Large animal equipment includes portable ultrasound, portable digital radiography, in house blood machines, in house bacterial cultures and sensitivities, upper airway endoscopy, power dental float, and an in-house coggins laboratory. We also service our clients as the veterinarian at Bluegrass South Livestock Market in Stanford, Kentucky two days per week.
Small animal portion of practice is also well equipped with two sevoflurane anesthetic machines, in house blood and urinalysis machines, digital radiography, ultrasound, in house microbiology services including bacterial cultures and sensitivity, multiple fluid pumps, and ample cage and kennel space for our hospitalized and drop off patients. We also have outstanding large and small animal technicians to facilitate the treatment of our patients. We do provide emergency services for our large animal clients with on call services shared among veterinarians. All after hours small animal emergencies are referred to an emergency clinic. Small animal exclusive associates would not have any after hours emergency responsibilities.
Salary and benefit packages are generous and negotiable including health insurance, SEP IRA with no required match, paid vacation/time off, paid holidays, AVMA/KVMA dues, DEA license, Kentucky State License, cancer insurance, malpractice insurance, and continuing education allowance. We are willing to be very flexible in terms of weekly schedules and would consider part time small animal exclusive practitioners as well.
