Equine Veterinary Associate
Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals - Navasota is expanding throughout the greater Houston area and we are looking for an additional veterinary help. The Navasota hospital is a growing privately owned, busy, and interactive practice. We believe in our ability to help people through the care of horses. Our 24-hour service hospital features a full surgery suite, standing and intra-operative CT, a climate-controlled ICU, on-site Coggins laboratory, and facilities to hospitalize 70+ patients supported by board-certified specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Emergency/Critical Care. With the addition of advanced imaging and the beginning construction of large additions to sports medicine and surgery, we are expanding our facilities further. We also provide services to clients through our outpatient sports medicine facility in Cypress/North Houston area, a satellite location in Cave Creek, Arizona, and a state-of-the-art show trailer. Our outpatient facility features a covered riding arena and immediate access to a full rehab facility. Flexible scheduling and shared on-call allow us to take advantage of the local activities in an around Houston. As the culinary capital of the US, Houston does not disappoint, and the Brazos Valley allows for close access without having to live in the city. Support staff includes office manager, receptionists, lab coordinator, pharmacy manager, anesthetist, 24-hour hospital/patient care technicians, 3 veterinary interns, and multiple patient care technicians.
Founded in 1987 our practice has always focused on providing a comprehensive and progressive care to all athletes and recreational horses. Quality care requires excellent intra-office communication and exceptional client communication. Whether it is by stall side rounds, staff huddles, or doctor coffee meetings, our goal is to always be transparent with our mission and goals to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Stretching from College Station into downtown Houston, our practice area covers a large population of training centers and individual farms that are scattered across several small towns. Caseload is diverse, > 18,000 visits/year and continues to grow after 30 years of business in the area. We are a busy and varied practice that encompasses most breeds and disciplines. Conveniently located in the Brazos Valley, we are at a crossroads for most of the Equine traffic in the state going to shows and racetracks. We stay involved in the community by supporting various charitable causes, youth events, and local horse shows. Our business has grown because of our focus to help people and create positive outcomes for clients.
