The Grabill Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a full or part time associate veterinarian to our team. We are a mixed animal practice in a small town in rural Allen County Indiana. Our practice is about 85% SA, and 15% LA. The LA is predominately equine, but we also see a smattering of cattle and small ruminants. We have in house cbc/chem, sedivue, dental, ultrasound, and digital xray. This is a great situation for someone interested in practice ownership.
Grabill is a small community that affords us a relaxed environment in which to practice. We know many of our clients not just from the office, but because we see them at the hardware store, school functions, church, ball games, or the grocery store.
We work hard to have a family feel to our work environment. That doesn’t mean everything is always perfect, but it does mean that even when things are difficult, we are there for each other. I talk to my staff regularly about my priorities. What I do as a veterinarian is definitely important, and I want to do it to the best of my abilities, but it isn’t my top priority. My faith and my family definitely rank as higher priorities than my work, but I believe that actually enhances my ability to do my job well.
We are located in rural Allen County but we’re only a few minutes away from the large metropolitan area of Fort Wayne. If you love to eat out, Fort Wayne has a plethora of delicious restaurants, microbreweries, and many other great locally owned businesses. If you love shopping, Fort Wayne has an excellent downtown district ripe with fantastic shops and boutiques. Fort Wayne is famous for our three rivers and we have a state of the art, beautiful, and wonderfully relaxing promenade park that really shows off the river downtown and connects to many walking paths that intertwine throughout the city. Love sports? We have a single A baseball team (Tincaps), an NBA G-league team (Mad Ants), and an ECHL Hockey team (Komets). Most importantly, we are a three-time All America City Award winner and are consistently cited for our high quality of life, low cost of living, and warm Hoosier Hospitality! It’s a perfect place to have a fun night out on the town, meet friendly people, enjoy the great outdoors, start a family, and build a career in veterinary medicine!
