Myhre Equine Clinic is currently accepting applications for a hard working, independently driven, excited Associate Veterinarian for our Equine Emergency Hospital. Ideally this person would excel in a group atmosphere working with several other veterinarians, taking care of the inpatient population. Additionally this person should have experience in intensive care and/or surgery.
Myhre Equine Clinic is located in Rochester, New Hampshire. Rochester is just over an hour north of Boston, 30 minutes to the ocean and an hour south of the White Mountains. The Myhre Equine Clinic is adjacent to the High Knoll Equestrian facility which has 100 acres of riding trails, an indoor arena, and boarding facilities available.
The caseload consists of a wide variety of horses. There are many backyard friends as well as primarily lower level show horses including western disciplines, pulling horses, hunter/jumpers, eventers, dressage horses and trail horses. While the caseload of standardbred race horses has declined markedly over the past few decades, there is beginning to be a resurgence and the caseload of standardbred horses is again growing. Our caseload is 99% equine, but may be expanded if a highly motivated individual joined our team.
Our facility includes a 22 stall heated barn, 3 isolation stalls, 3 neonate stalls, 3 radioactive isolation stalls, 2 induction/recovery rooms, an MRI suite as well as radiology and treatment rooms. Digital radiography, ultrasonography, gastroscopy/endoscopy, arthroscopy, nuclear scintigraphy, Nd:YAG laser, shockwave therapy, in house laboratory, Lameness Locator as well as a variety of physical therapy modalities are available.
Applicants are highly encouraged to visit but we are happy to email, talk on the phone or Zoom at any time. For more information please call, (603) 335-4777 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
