We perform ambulatory services and have a beautiful, state-of-the-art, equine veterinary clinic on 23 acres of land in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our team is committed to practicing ethically and responsibly, to the highest standard of care. We are growing daily, and we would love to continue our growth and development together, with you! We value exceptional care, service, continuing education, and positive attitude. Our clients love their horses. Our patients are companions, sport horses and everything in between. We are seeking a veterinarian that aligns with our values, does well in a team setting, and is a good communicator. New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be, or become, licensed and accredited in PA.
Our services include:
We have an exceptional reputation within our veterinary (large and small animal) and client communities alike. KVA is in range of multiple equine referral centers including: New Bolton Center, Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center, Manor Equine Hospital, and New Jersey Equine. We routinely consult, and strive to maintain a good working relationship, with these specialty centers and their doctors, as we consider them an integral part of our team. Our practice endeavors to give back to the veterinary community by offering externship opportunities for veterinary and technician students, as well as shadowing opportunities for high school and college students.
KVA is offering a 4-day work week for associate veterinarians. On call (after hours, weekend, holiday and seasonal foaling duty) is shared evenly between all veterinarians with the goal of a healthy and sustainable work-life balance. Our veterinarians receive emergency and urgent/add-on appointment fees quarterly! Other benefits include: health insurance, PTO, CE costs, license fees, professional liability insurance, professional membership dues, and Simple IRA retirement plan (employer matched contribution). Vet truck with mobile unit, laptop computer, and all equipment and drugs are provided. We have a digital record keeping system and use AvimarkTM vet software.
