Millbrook Equine is currently looking for a dedicated and ambitious Veterinarian to join our established family of veterinarians and support staff.
Millbrook Equine is a well-established ambulatory practice located in the beautiful and historic rolling hills of Dutchess County, New York. We are committed to providing exceptional care for horses of all disciplines and have a loyal and growing clientele who value personalized, open communication. We have a distinct supportive and collaborative family-type culture and strive to provide enrichment and growth opportunities for both our veterinary and support staff. We are proud of our new on-site breeding facility which also allows for ship-in specialty work for both therio and general practice. Millbrook Equine is up to date on advancements in all aspects of equine veterinary medicine and diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
About the Position
We are looking for a recent graduate who has or has not completed a 1-year hands-on equine-focused internship to join us on a full-time basis this summer. We offer excellent support and mentorship opportunities for newer veterinarians but are also open to someone who is ready to hit the ground running and start building their career. While this position will be initially focused on general practice, we are happy to support professionals who are looking for an opportunity to establish themselves in a speciality such as sport horse medicine, lameness, advanced imaging, reproduction, dentistry, etc – they sky’s the limit. This position is full-time and will include rotating on-call requirements of a minimum of 1-2 weekends per month along with one regular weeknight on call.
You are an enthusiastic individual looking for the opportunity to join a thriving and well-established team. Ideal candidates will have some hands-on experience in both general equine practice as well as in emergency medicine, though as mentioned above we are willing to talk to new grads without hands-on internship experience.
