Retama Equine Hospital is in search of an enthusiastic, dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team of service minded practitioners. We are a busy emergency and referral hospital near San Antonio, Texas with a diverse caseload serving many different equine disciplines and providing sports medicine, orthopedics, soft tissue, dentistry, reproduction, chiropractic, acupuncture, racetrack and of course, emergency services. We are looking for a partner who is team oriented, enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, and has a track record of exceptional client relations.

At our facility, we are prepared to provide arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and soft tissue surgeries while also having the means to hospitalize critical care cases with three ICU stalls, four isolation stalls, 20 hospital stalls, three treatment areas and 16 paddocks. We offer state of the art imaging equipment, shockwave and Sound Smart RLT regenerative laser.

Our ideal candidate is willing to provide ambulatory services and care for hospitalized cases, as well as providing surgical expertise, and has an interest in the opportunity to train other veterinarians and lead client education for the practice. Primary emergency call is shared on a rotating basis. Candidate must be Board eligible and able to obtain Texas licensing.
