Externships with VetCor practices provide endless opportunities to achieve your professional goals through mentorship and premier hands-on experience.
With over 520 locations across 39 states, we offer a wide variety of practice and community styles, providing firsthand clinical and practical experience to veterinary students, while also helping build relationships for future employment opportunities.
PICK YOUR ENVIRONMENT – Each practice has its own style of medicine, unique culture and connection to the community.
LOCATION, LOCATION – We offer a wide variety of locations, from lively metropolitan practices to quaint country settings.
DIVERSE INTERESTS – Our veterinarians have a wide variety of skills and interests to share from orthopedic surgery to ultrasound, to exotics and so much more.
GROW & LEARN – Through mentorship and professional collaboration you will develop your diagnostic, medical and surgical skills.
Typical externships will be 1-3 weeks long, and our clinics are flexible and accommodating when it comes to scheduling an externship around your schedule. In the long weeks of summer, there is plenty of time to spend a couple weeks with several different practices, and we are happy to host you at more than one location. Since our doctors make all of the medical decisions in-house, every team that you work with can show you a different perspective on veterinary medicine.
