Full or Part-Time Veterinary Associate Position Available ImmediatelyHaving a good work-life balance is so important, but often difficult to find in the Veterinary Medicine industry. If this is something that you are struggling with, please allow us to introduce ourselves! We are Hickman Veterinary Hospital, Inc., which is a mixed animal practice in Middle Tennessee that has been in operation for over 35 years. We are located roughly 40 miles west of Nashville, TN in Hickman County, which has quickly become a popular area for many people looking to relocate from all over the country. We are a general practice that operates 5 days a week, with no weekend, emergency, or on-call hours, which allows our team members to find that perfect work-life balance that so many hope for.
Our team members are like family and have years of experience providing care for the animals in our community. Our practice is equipped with ultrasound, laser, digital radiology, in house laboratory and chemistries. Our mixed animal breakdown is approximately 85% small animal and 15% large animal. We do offer house and farm calls and have a fully equipped vet truck. We do not provide boarding or grooming services. Experience is preferred, but not required. We are needing our newest team member to be able to treat either large or small animals, as well as perform routine surgeries. We are open to hiring a large animal vet, however at this time it is not a requirement. Applicant requirements include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university, and licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Tennessee. We need someone who can develop rapport with clients and be able to effectively communicate diagnosis and treatment plans, has respect for and a willingness to work with clients and their pets, has a positive and friendly attitude, and can make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with our fellow team members.
For full time employees, we offer a competitive salary, retirement plan, continuing education allowance, professional liability coverage, vacation time, uniforms, pet discounts, professional license payments, and partial compensation for medical insurance. Contact us if you would like to join our hospital family or have further questions regarding this position.
