Cor Veterinary Services is a sports medicine focused clinic. We have a passion for lameness diagnosis, treatment and overall health improvement of the equine athlete.
We are an Equine Veterinary Practice located East of Strathmore and 50 minutes from Calgary, Alberta. Our practice covers a large client base and draws performance clients from all over Western Canada. We primarily service clients that compete in Western performance (Rodeo, Cutting, Reining horses) with a nice mix of Hunter/Jumper/Dressage. We routinely visit and take appointments at two of Alberta’s premier equine rehabilitation facilities. We are fully equipped to offer the latest diagnostics and treatments in equine medicine. The successful applicant will be supplied with a fully equipped truck of their own (digital x-ray, ultrasound, shockwave, dental equipment, PRP/IRAP unit…).
The ideal candidate will have completed an internship at an equine practice and/or have a minimum 1-5 years experience. However, we are open to considering applicants on any level. We offer dedicated mentoring and a team approach depending on the applicant’s confidence level. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pursue their own passions in equine practice as well, such as general equine practice, herd health, reproduction or dentistry.
Our team at Cor Vet enjoys a positive, fun work environment. A healthy work life balance is essential to long term success. We strive for the happiness of our employees and consider them our most valuable asset.
We offer benefits, paid annual ABVMA fees, CE allowance, clothing allowance, etc. A house and personal horse paddock would be considered for the ideal candidate. Compensation will be generous, can be negotiated and will reflect the applicant’s experience and level of confidence. On call time is 1 week per month, and due to the performance nature of our clinic, it is not a high-volume after-hours clinic. Please email your resume/cover letter to melissa@corvetservices.com or call
403-664-1047 for more information. Candidates must hold a valid veterinary degree and be able to be licensed by the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association.
