Are you looking for something special? Are you tired of having no answers for your complex cases than stronger antibiotics and steroids? Then you have found the right place! Our holistic hospital combines the best of both worlds. We provide excellent conventional medicine under the careful guidance of an expert witness in veterinary court cases. Yet we combine that with the best in herbs, acupuncture and loads of miraculous success stories of grateful clients who came to us for answers for their 'hopeless' cases and still enjoy much more time with their precious pets! We are a hospital that is not the corporate grind, we deeply appreciate our staff and clients, and support each other. Here, you can be yourself and know that any "out of the box" thinking is appreciated and encouraged! We are where you are heard and appreciated for your ideas, and where you can really grow and contribute to humanity (and animals) as a person and a doctor. If this sounds good, then we are the place for you! And as if that's not all, we also have a great case load of a variety of animals from all manner of exotics, farm animals, and especially fish! Our owner is the past president of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association and a frequent guest lecturer on aquatics.
We are seeking a kind, compassionate, flexible, team oriented, great under pressure veterinarian with integrity and an open-mind to join our hand-picked team! Enjoy a fantastic, loving, family of experienced technicians who help us provide top-notch medicine and client service to our wonderful clients and their beloved animals.
We are looking for both externs wishing to get their feet wet, as well as hiring a permanent employee. Candidates do NOT need to know any alternative or holistic medicine to fill in for us, just sound basic veterinary medicine.
Good surgical, cardio, radiology/ultrasound, teaching (as in CE for the staff) and/or optho skills are a plus. Our discerning clients expect us to go the extra mile to care for them, and look to us to provide excellent conventional medicine as well as the latest holistic and natural medicine treatments for cancer and other 'incurable' diseases.
We were "fear free" before that was a thing, and gentle animal handling is a high priority for us. We don't let our patients bark incessantly, their sanity and ours is taken in highest regard. Being owned by a professional animal trainer means we also see lot's of interesting behavior cases and teach clients about the science of positive reinforcement training.
We are fun, flexible, and devoted to the clients we serve. We offer health insurance as well, and feel that regular CE is a high priority for us all. If you are interested in holistic medicine and exceptional client and animal care, in a gorgeous mountain location (we are a destination veterinary hospital) yet still close to the big city of Denver, then you have come to the right place! Vegetarian/vegan a plus. Please review our website to learn more about us. We look forward to working with you soon!
Our most important job requirement is that you want to be here, and want to learn and be a joyful addition to our fantastic team!
We offer a very flexible schedule. No emergency or after hour expectations unless you want to.
You will receive friendly, supportive, extensive training in holistic modalities.
Must be licensed to practice in Colorado.
Responsibility's include seeing and treating patients, and speaking with clients professionally, respectfully, and with deep compassion.
Prefer someone willing and able to see exotics and/or large animals, but certainly not required so don't let that hold you back if you are interested.
Prefer someone willing to do housecalls, if needed.
Salary dependent on experience and negotiable however currently we offer a competitive base salary plus production so you directly contribute to what you bring home.
