Application Deadline:
We are looking for a new associate veterinarian to join our busy practice. Our practice is comprised of about 70% horses and 30% other large animal species but this position will be be 95% or more equine unless the applicant desires otherwise. The practice co-owner and senior equine veterinarian is retiring at years end and his personal practice is quite busy so this is not a position that we will need to grow into. All five of us have busy and satisfying personal practices under the Sonoma Marin Vet Service umbrella and we expect that our newest veterinarian will see their personal practice develop quickly. This should be reflected in job satisfaction as well as increasing income beyond the already very competitive initial salary. This position will include high level sports medicine, dentistry, general equine medicine and the option and support to grow in new directions. Emergency duties will be shared equally and should include 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month.
