Alta Equine Sports Medicine is currently looking for an associate veterinarian to join our fully ambulatory equine practice. Founded in February of 2020 our small but mighty practice has flourished over the past two years, and we are now ready to welcome a second practitioner to our team. We are a sports medicine focused practice, but our aim is to always provide top quality full-service care to our clients. We work with several top-level trainers in the bay area who compete on the A circuit but are also interested in being able to offer more general practice appointments in the future.
While we travel to service clients primarily throughout Sonoma and Marin counties our office is based out of the beautiful city of Sonoma, half a block from the town square. We value quality of work as well as quality of life and strive to offer our team a healthy work life balance, so we have time to enjoy all that northern California has to offer.
In addition to our founding veterinarian, our practice includes two vet techs and a veterinary assistant to help with appointments and administrative duties. We are equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave, and a video endoscope. We provide stem cell therapy, IRAP, PRP, ProStride, acupuncture and chiropractic services to our clients. A fully equipped and stocked truck will be provided for our new associates use. Additionally, we have a network of local and national specialists available for consultation.
We seek an applicant who is collaborative, communicative, and progress oriented as we grow our practice in the coming years. We offer a supportive, encouraging, and flexible environment with a team that also knows the value of having fun.
An applicant seeking a full-time position is desired, but we will consider applicants interested in part-time work as well. Experience is preferred but new graduates are also welcomed to apply. Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school and a valid California veterinary license. We offer a competitive base salary with a production bonus. Additional benefits include medical and dental, retirement fund, professional membership dues, a yearly continuing education allowance and a signing/relocation bonus.
