Two equine exclusive practices are offering a joint equine ambulatory internship. We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in gaining skills necessary for working in ambulatory practice. Throughout the 12 months the intern will receive training and mentoring in performance, preventative and emergency equine care, client and veterinary communication, and general business skills. Both practices have a varied focus involving performance evaluations, dentistry, chiropractic, endoscopy, reproduction, acupuncture, emergency medicine, and general preventative care.
The intern will ride along with clinicians to assist with and perform treatments, procedures, and routine care during weekdays and would be on call for most weekends. The intern will be provided two days off each week. The internship begins in Minnesota (June-September), then moves to Georgia (October - February) and finishes in Minnesota (March - May). One week of vacation is offered in between each transition. Truck and equipment are provided.
Salary is $35,000, plus travel stipend, CE, and housing. Health care coverage is negotiable
