Sydney’s largest equine veterinary practice is currently accepting applications for an Equine Surgeon to join our team of 3 experienced US boarded specialist surgeons. Applicants with specialty registration, experienced surgeons or individuals who have completed a residency program will be considered. The successful applicant should also have a strong interest and experience in sport horse lameness and imaging. The successful applicant will join our team in our purpose built hospital adjacent the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. The newly built state of the art hospital encompasses general, orthopaedic and standing surgery operating theatres, full onsite pathology laboratory, nuclear medicine, MRI and standing CT facilities. The applicant will be supported by US boarded specialists in internal medicine, critical care and emergency, sports medicine and rehabilitation and anaesthesia. This position also will find themselves working with experienced ambulatory veterinarians, a team of 5 interns and 1 resident in sports medicine and rehabilitation. The practice incorporates an extensive armoury of field diagnostics including over ground video-endoscopy and lameness locator, as well as a range of regenerative medicine therapies. REC Equine Specialists has a strong Thoroughbred racetrack, yearling radiology/surgery and an expanding sport horse and general clientele with a philosophy of providing the highest standard of practice with the latest available technology in a collaborative team environment.
