The team at TNT Equine is seeking an energetic, well rounded associate interested in all aspects of primary care including performance horse medicine, lameness, wellness, reproduction, dentistry and emergency care. The ideal candidate will be equal parts medical wizard, magician, comedian, therapist, mind reader, and fortune teller. They will have the ability to communicate with clients, trainers, owners and their non- horse-oriented spouses across all walks of life and a variety of disciplines.
Our clientele is well-established so we need an enthusiastic candidate that can jump right in. Experienced veterinarians are preferred however, recent grads who have completed a one-year internship that includes an ambulatory component will be considered and are encouraged to apply. The position is full time, year-round. Would you rather spend January showing your horse in Aiken or Wellington? We can be open to other mutually beneficial arrangements for the perfect candidate.
TNT Equine is rooted in the local equine community across beautiful coastal Maine with clients encompassing pleasure, performance, eventing, reproduction, trail and family horses. Many of our clients have been with the practice staff for over 30 years. Our practice is primarily ambulatory serving a large and diverse population of horses from Southern Maine to the seacoast region of New Hampshire with limited service on the north shore of Massachusetts.
The facility has accommodations for up to 20 patients, in house lab, climate-controlled treatment area, digital radiology, digital ultrasound, upper airway endoscopy, and fully equipped practice vehicles. The practice has garnered a reputation for our reproductive & advanced dentistry services which we provide to both established clients as well as referrals from local area veterinarians. We are looking for an associate to complement our current service offerings. We encourage associates to develop their own areas of interest which we will help you build on through both local opportunities and national continuing education meetings.
Maine has four very distinct seasons that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities to keep your mind and body engaged. We are just over an hour from Boston and less than an hour from the beautiful Lakes Region with access to beaches, hiking, skiing and watersports all within a short drive.
Compensation is based on Pro-Sal formula with a guaranteed base and production percentage. Rotating emergency duty is shared between the practice owner, associate and another local ambulatory practice. Additional compensation for emergencies is provided and paid monthly. Our benefits package includes health insurance, liability insurance, continuing education, retirement plan with a company match, professional membership dues, and office support dog and chocolate. A practice phone and vehicle are provided for professional use.
