A large referral equine veterinary practice in the Phoenix, Arizona area is looking for recent veterinary school graduates for 2 one year internship positions. Job duties include working with ACVS certified surgeons and experienced equine veterinarians in managing a diverse caseload of horses needing veterinary care. Experience in both hospital and ambulatory cases will be gained. The internship has a focus on clinical training of the employed interns within the context of running a busy equine practice. Job requirements include a DVM (or equivalent) degree, the ability to work after hours or on call, and the capability to work with a diverse staff and clientele. We estimate that the successful completion of the internship will result in the intern gaining 5-6 years’ experience in equine practice and becoming an attractive candidate for future residency training programs. The internships run from July 2021-July 2022.
