Equine Associate Veterinarian

The veterinary team at TNT Equine is seeking an associate interested in all aspects of primary care including performance horse medicine, lameness, wellness, reproduction, dentistry and emergency care. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, client service oriented, have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to horse owners, trainers and managers across all disciplines. Shared emergency duty on a rotating schedule is required including two weekends each month. Experienced veterinarians are preferred. Recent grads who have completed a one-year internship that includes an ambulatory component will be considered and are encouraged to apply. The position is full time, however part-time considerations will be made for the ideal candidate.

 TNT Equine is a well-established equine practice located in beautiful coastal Maine with clients encompassing pleasure, performance, eventing, reproduction, competitive trail and family horses. Many of our clients have been associated with our practice staff for over 30 years. Our practice is primarily ambulatory serving a large and diverse population of horses from Southern Maine to the seacoast region of New Hampshire with limited service on the north shore of Massachusetts.

 The facility has accommodations for 17 patients, in house lab, climate controlled treatment area, digital radiology, digital ultrasound, upper airway endoscopy, and fully equipped practice vehicles. The practice has garnered a reputation for our reproductive & advanced dentistry services which we provide to both established clients as well as referrals from local area veterinarians.

 Maine has four very distinct seasons that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. Those who can embrace at least three of those seasons are welcome to apply! The area offers an array of activities, great restuarants, seaside resort towns and quiet get away locations all within a short drive. We are 30 minutes from downtown Portsmouth, NH, 45 minutes from Portland, ME, less than an hour from the beautiful Lakes Region and 90 minutes from Boston, MA

 Compensation is based on ProSal formula with a guaranteed base and percentage. Additional compensation for emergencies is also provided and paid monthly.
