Associate Veterinarian

Ocean State Equine Associates is a 6 doctor, 2 intern practice, seeking a full-time, experienced associate. We are looking for someone that is avidly interested in general practice and wants to live in the northeast.  If this is you, read on.

OSEA serves a diverse population from pet ponies and the occasional donkey to upper-level athletes.   Primary care and lameness are the practice strengths, and serve as the core upon which we are growing our surgical and medical referral business.  With the completion of a new facility in 2018, our team is providing full-service care to our own clients, as well as supporting local and regional rDVMs with their referral needs.

We enjoy a collegial, professional work environment.  Cases are often shared.  Client communication and teammate collaboration skills are essential.  We all arrive at the clinic each morning to begin our day, and we have case and imaging rounds, as well as journal club to foster the team sensibility.  Clients are not clients of individual doctors but rather of the practice as a whole, further emphasizing “team”.  We strive for efficiency with the goal of quality patient care and work-life balance.  We also encourage development of special areas of interest. Emergency duty rotates amongst associates and provides back-up for interns. 

Salary is base-plus and is commensurate with experience and production.  Benefits include:  health insurance stipend, Paid-time off, IRA, long-term disability, liability insurance, continuing education, cell phone compensation and state licensure in RI, MA and CT.  A practice vehicle is provided. 

This area offers a bit for everyone!  The practice area is mostly suburban-rural.  The fabulous coast-line and the terrific city of Providence are within miles of the clinic.  Boston and New England ski country are within easy striking distance.
