Progressive, exclusively equine, ambulatory practice is looking for a hard-working, knowledgeable veterinarian to join our practice. In addition to veterinary knowledge and skill, excellent horsemanship is essential. Additionally, excellent organization and communication skills are sought. Completion of an internship is required. This is not an entry level position. We are growth oriented. The expectation is that you will work hard to help grow the practice. This position will be focused on routine care, medicine cases and wellness. The successful applicant will be encouraged to pursue additional training in areas of their interest.
Based in Berks County, we provide routine care to our patients in the surrounding counties of southeastern Pennsylvania. We offer digital radiography, ultrasound, IRAP, PRP, Pro-Stride, shockwave therapy, FES, Smart RLT, power assisted dentistry, digital upper airway and gastroscopes, as well as thermography and tonometry.
We are based out of a 23 acre farm with 7 stalls and both indoor and outdoor arenas. The practice is focused on the care of performance horses, though pets and recreational horses are also attended.
On-call duty will be shared. A stocked, practice owned vehicle will be provided and tech will be made available as schedule dictates. Additional equipment and/or training can be obtained to further develop the successful applicant's areas of interest. Compensation will be as Pro-Sal with generous base. Licensing, CE, dues, health insurance reimbursement and simple IRA are included. Vacation package includes up to four weeks PTO, not to exceed one consecutive week March through July and not greater than two consecutive weeks the remainder of the year.
