Associate Veterinarian

Monocacy Equine Veterinary Associates is looking for a new associate.  We are a three-doctor practice in the horse country of Maryland that sees a broad mix of general practice and sports medicine.  The area is easy access to Washington D.C., the Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore, and the Northern Virginia area allowing for a large spectrum of activities. This practice is family friendly and understands the struggle of balance.  This is achievable with a four-day work week; paid vacation; and paid sick leave.  We work hard to end days at a reasonable time and avoid burnout.  Required on call will be evenly split among 3 doctors. 

We have all the major toys available digital radiography, endoscopy, power dentistry, ultrasound, shockwave, ProStride, SAA, and in-house bloodwork.  Benefits include CE budget, health insurance, PLIT, licenses, and dues.  Salary is guaranteed base commensurate with experience and 25% production. 

Ideal candidate will have an internship or at least 2 years work experience but we are open to a new graduate if the right person comes along.  We have a collaborative environment that will provide mentorship.  There is the possibility of partial ownership down the road if the fit is good and the associate is interested.  We would like to have the position begin no later than July 14, 2021.  Please submit CV and cover letter to Dr. Alisha Bretz at aoehling83@gmail.com.
