Large Thoroughbred breeding/training farm in Central California is looking for a resident veterinarian to join our staff. The new hire will be part of a three veterinary team with shared emergency duties. Primary duties will revolve around broodmare and neonatal care with additional work in our training facility and at our ancillary yearling farm. We utilize the latest equipment with a fully equipped laboratory to run in house CBC's, fibrinogen, chemistries and serum amyloid. We also have digital radiography, ultrasound, acoustic shockwave and a one meter endoscope. Although experience is always beneficial we are a prime location for a recent graduate to hone their skills. Additionally we would be a perfect set up for an experienced veterinarian looking to have a more structured work load. The primary veterinarian (of over 25 years) is looking to retire next year so finding someone that wishes to seek this as a career choice would be ideal. We provide housing and offer employer matched 401k as well as medical, paid vacation and sick leave. A license to practice in California would be preferred but we will consider applicants that are eligible to sit for the California boards.
